I say let's adopt a real personhood amendment for every citizen of this nation. In the amendment would be a number of rights:

1) The right to a secure retirement free from fear, hunger and lack of access to healthcare;
2) The right to not be sent to foreign lands to fight in useless wars to enrich the capitalists;
3) The right to be educated without excessive student debt;
4) The right to have access to clean air, healthy food free of poisonous chemicals, and potable water;
5) The right to vote without undue burden from the government;
6) The right to travel on safe roads, bridges and tunnels;
7) The right to have access to cheap broadband and top-notch technology worthy of a first-world nation;
8) The right to have public elected officials beholden to the will of the people and not special interests via public campaign financing;
9) The right to a long-term plan to combat man-made global climate change;
10) The right to not have our government spy on our every move under the dubious excuse of fighting terrorism;

The above are my modern Bill of Rights.”
